BIO: Shannon Boxx is an American Soccer player who played for the University of Notre Dame where she helped the Fighting Irish win the school’s first NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship. She was named to the All Big East team 3 years in a row and is tied for the most soccer games played for Notre Dame at 101 games.

In 2001 Women’s United Soccer Association began play and Shannon Boxx was drafted by the Dan Diego Spirit. In her first season, she started every game and was named to the All-WUSA team. In 2002 she was sent to the New York Power where she again started every game and was named to the 2003 All-WUSA squad.

Shannon was named to the World Cup Team and was the first American woman to score three goals in her first three matches with the national team. She went on to win a gold medal at the 2004 Olympics. In 2007, she was named to the U.S. 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup team and won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Shannon Boxx is a starter on the 2011 World Cup Team and is available for speaking engagements, personal appearances and sports clinics.
