Rulon Gardner was an American Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler who won gold at the 2000 Olympic Games after defeating Russian Aleksandr Karelin, who was previously undefeated in 13 years of international competition. Rulon attributed his strength to him growing up and working on the family dairy farm.

BIO: Rulon Gardner was an American Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler who won gold at the 2000 Olympic Games after defeating Russian Aleksandr Karelin, who was previously undefeated in 13 years of international competition. Rulon attributed his strength to him growing up and working on the family dairy farm.

Rulon Gardner has one book, Never Stop Pushing: My Life from a Wyoming Farm to the Olympic Medals Stand. In his autobiography, Rulon speaks of his academic struggles with a learning disability, his near death experience and his wrestling career.

His current venture is motivational speaking, where he speaks at golf tournaments, trade shows, corporate events and conventions. His endorsements consist of print and television and licensing deals.

After the 2004 Athens Olympics where he received a bronze medal, Rulon gained 210 pounds which made him 474 pounds. Rulon then was a contestant on the 11th season of The Biggest Loser. After losing 173 pounds, he announced on April 26th (after 16 weeks) that he would be leaving the show for person reasons. Rulon is available for motivation speaking, personal appearances and sporting clinics.
