BIO: Maya Moore is the former basketball player for University of Connecticut. And is currently a forward for the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA. Maya is the 2006 and 2007 winner of the Naismith Prep Player of the Year award and the John Wooden Award in 2009 after she led UCONN to an undefeated season and a national championship. The following season, Maya led UCONN to win their second national championship and continued their undefeated season. She is also the first female basketball player to sign with the Jordan Brand.

In 2011 Maya was selected 1st overall in the WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx and was named to the WNBA All-Star team. Maya was one of 20 players to be named to the national team pool where 12 will be chosen to represent the USA in the 2010 World Championships and the 2012 Olympics.
