BIO: Los Angeles Galaxy soccer player Landon Donovan is one of the more famous soccer players in the MLS. Landon started as an inaugural member of the US Soccer residency program in Bradenton, Florida before signing with Bayer Leverkusen. He played here for six years on loan with the San Jose Earthquakes. Landon then took his skills to the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2005. He went on loan again in 2010 with the English Premier League.

As part of the US National team, Landon was the all time leader in scoring and assists. As an active player, Landon has the most caps of all active players. His awards include US Soccer Male Athlete of the Year (4 times and the only male to do so), 3 time winner of the Honda Player of the Year and the LA Galaxy MVP.

Landon Donovan was a member of the 2010 World Cup team and helped score the only goal in the 1-0 win over Algeria to win the World Cup for the first time since 1930. After his amazing goals in the World Cup, Donovan made history by having the highest scoring from an American in the games. At the 2011 ESPY awards, Landon won the Best MLS player.
