At UGA, John was awarded All-American every season and is UGA’s all time leader in singles and doubles wins. He also led his team to an NCAA team title in front of a home crowd in Athens, Georgia.

While he was still a junior, John Isner began his professional career. His breakthrough came at the finals of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, DC. He won five straight wins and after his incredible tournament, he was ranked #193 in the world after just 6 weeks as a pro.

John Isner is the only player in the top 150 in the world to have attended college for 4 years, has one of the hardest serves and is the second tallest player on tour. Another record John holds is the longest tennis match ever played. His win against Nicolas Mahut was at Wimbledon and lasted for 11 hours and 5 minutes.
