BIO: When Jessica Hardy swam at 2004 Olympic Trials at age 17, it was only her second national meet. Hardy finished fifth in a stacked 100m breast field, a result with which she was happy, having started swimming seriously only a year before. Though she says she felt out of her element, it made her hungry for more success. Jessica set the world record in the 100 m breaststroke when she was still in high school senior and went on to compete for two years at the University of California, Berkeley, where she was a four-time NCAA Champion. At the 2005 World Championships Jessica set a World and American record in the semis of the 100m breast as a U.S. National Team Rookie.

From there, Jessica has gone on to add 4 more American Records and 6 international medals for the U.S. At only 21 years old, Jessica qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympics in four different events: the 100 breaststroke, the 50 free, the 4x100m free relay, and the 4x100m medley relay. Jessica was a four-time gold medalist at the 2010 MOO Pan Pacific Championships. At the 2011 Fina World Championships, Jessica was crowned the 50m breaststroke champion and also earned a silver as part of the women’s 4×100 freestyle relay. She is currently training to compete in the 2012 London Olympics.

Jessica is your typical Southern California girl; it’s hard to find her on dry land. Even in her spare time she enjoys surfing, scuba diving, and even plays water polo when she gets the chance. The future is limitless for Jessica who is interested in a career in Media and marketing after swimming. Jessica Hardy is available for motivational speaking, personal appearance, and endorsements.
