BIO: Jerry West is a retired NBA basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was nicknamed Mr. Clutch and he is also well known for his reference to the NBA Logo, for which the logo is his silhouette. After playing at West Virginia, he was then drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, where he stayed for 14 years. He was also named captain of the 1960 US Olympic gold medaling team in Rome which was later inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Jerry West had a very successful NBA career with the Lakers, playing guard. Jerry was voted 12 times into the All-NBA First and Second Teams, 14 times elected into the NBA All-Star team, MVP of the All Star game and this same year won his only NBA Championship ring. He holds the record for points-averaged during playoff series at 46.3 and was a member of the first four NBA All-Defensive Teams. Having only won 1 championship, he played in 9 and is the only player in history to be on the losing team and be awarded the MVP award for the NBA Finals.

Jerry West was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980 and has been voted one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history.

After he retired from the game, Jerry became the head coach of the Lakers for 3 years, and each year led the team to playoffs. He was then named General Manager and player-scout—Jerry won 7 championship rings during this time.

Jerry became General Manager of the Memphis Grizzlies in 2002 and he helped the franchise win their first ever playoff spot. For his efforts behind the scenes, Jerry won the NBA Executive of the Year Award twice. In 2011, Jerry joined the Golden State Warriors as head consultant under its new owner, Joe Lacob. Jerry West is available for public events, public relations campaigns and appearances.
