BIO: Charles Wade Barkley is a former American professional basketball player who played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Sun and Huston Rockets. Charles was a highly dominate power forward, and was selected to the All-NBA First Team five times, the All-NBA Second Team five times and named All-Star MVP. In 1993, Charles was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history and the league’s Most Valuable Player. Charles Barkley was a part of the ‘Dream Team,’ who competed in the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games and won two gold medals. Charles was also inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

For his last thirteen seasons in the NBA, Charles Barkley was named NBA’s All-Interview Team for his popularity with the media and the fans. He was continually in on and off court fights which sometimes caused national controversy. Being a short power forward, Charles made up for it by using his strength and his aggressiveness making him a leader in rebounding. When he retired in 2000, he was the fourth player in NBA history to score 20,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 4,000 assists.

Today, Charles is a color commentator for basketball and works with TNT as a studio pundit for coverage of NBA games. In addition to his successful career in TV, he announced in 2008 that he would run for Governor of Alabama in 2014, but in 2010 contracted his announcement.

In 2010, Charles endorsed Taco Bell and is available for trade shows, corporate events and corporate hospitality. Charles Barkley is now endorsing Weight Watchers.
